Join us on Monday, November 24 at 2pm CT / 3pm ET to learn how state budget decisions get made and how Southern advocates are engaging on revenue policy.

In our second session, “Designing Fair Revenue Systems,” we talked about what fair tax systems look like and how state policies can protect K-12 funding. Let’s think about how to take action: What does it look like for advocates in Southern states to drive positive change for students through revenue advocacy?

In the third and final session, the Center on Budget & Policy Priorities and leaders from Southern policy and advocacy organizations will walk through how revenue policy decisions get made and how advocates can engage.

Advocates will learn:

  • How to talk about revenue in a way that resonates with key audiences
  • Who holds decision-making power for budgets and revenue policies
  • What strategies Southern advocates are using to secure resources for students

Be part of this important conversation to build your understanding and strengthen your state’s approach to fair school funding.
